Braised Short Ribs

Ingredients
- 10 ribs
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 pkg McCormick Stew Seasoning
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 lg carton beef broth
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 tblsp cornstarch

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Heat oil in large stew pot.
Mix flour & stew seasoning together.
Dredge each rib in flour mixture & brown on each side in hot oil; remove to a plate.
Simmer onion in hot oil, scaping bottom of pan.
Add beef broth.
Add ribs & cover tightly with foil & lid.
Bake for 1 hour.
Decrease heat to 250 degrees & continue cooking approx 3 hours.
Remove pot from oven & gently remove ribs from pot to a plate.
Mix water & cornstarch together & whisk into hot gravy from ribs until thickened.
Add ribs back into gravy.
Cook rice or egg noodles to serve under ribs.
