Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • Serves: makes 1 - 12-inch pizza dessert

  • 1 3/4 c to 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 pkg fleischmann's pizza crust yeast or rapid yeast or a pre-made store crust
  • 1 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 c milk
  • 3 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • FRUIT FILLING:
  • Note: frozen fruit can be used in place of the fresh, but don't let it thaw before assembling the pizza.
  • 6 oz fresh raspberries (1 1/2 cups)
  • 1 c fresh blueberries
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch(argo)
  • STREUSEL TOPPING:
  • 1/2 c all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon(spice islands)
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 6 Tbsp butter or margarine,softened
  • 1/2 c quick oats (not instant)
  • FROSTING:
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp milk

Preparation

Step 1

1.Preheat oven to 425^.
Combine 1 cup of the flour, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Heat milk and butter until very hot. Add to flour and mix until blended, about 1 minute. Gradually add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Dough should form a ball and will be slightly sticky. Knead on a floured surface, adding additional flour if necessary, until smooth and elastic, about 4 minutes.
2.Pat dough with floured hands to fill greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Or roll dough on a floured counter to 12-inch circle; place in greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Form a rim by pinching the edge of dough. Cover with a towel and let rest 10 minutes.
3.Toss berries with sugar and cornstarch and let rest while preparing streusel topping.

Mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly. Stir in oats. Spread fruit over ready pizza crust. Sprinkle streusel over fruit.
4.Bake on lowest oven rack for 12 to 15 minutes, until topping and crust are browned. Remove from oven and let cool on wire rack for 5 minutes.

Combine powdered sugar, vanilla and enough milk to make a smooth consistency.Drizzle over pizza. Serve immediately.
