Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup firm butter
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
- 3/4 cup water

Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour, dry milk, sugar, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in resealable plastic food-storage bag.
Pour flour mixture into medium bowl. Cut in butter, using pastry blender until mixture looks like cornmeal. Gently stir in cheese. Stir in water just until dough forms (do not overmix).
Grease 10-inch cast-iron skillet. Press dough into 3/4-inch-thick round. Cut into 6 wedges. Place wedges in skillet. Cover with aluminum foil. Cook over low heat about 10 minutes or until puffed and bottom is light brown. Turn wedges; cook about 10 minutes longer or until cooked through.
