Oatmeal Cookies from Quaker Oats

Ingredients

• 2 sticks marg,softened
• 1 cup brown sugar firmly packed
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 1/2 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp salt,optional
• 3 cups quick or old fashioned oats
• 1 cup raisins(or chocolate chips)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Cream marg. and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well . Add combined flour,baking soda,cinn.and salt,mix well. Stir in oats and raisins,mix well. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 min. until golden brown. Cool one min.on cookie sheet,remove to wire rack.
Variation: For bar cookies,bake 30-35 min in ungreased 9x13 pan.
