Ingredients
- 2 1/2 lbs. Red Potatoes, skins on and sliced
- 1/4 cup All – Purpose Flour
- 1 Clove Garlic, minced
- 1 Shallot, chopped
- 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
- 3 Tbsp Butter or Margarine
- 1 1/4 c. Milk
- 1 1/2 c. Whipping Cream
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1 1/2 c. (6 oz) Gruyere Cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

Step 1
Toss potatoes with flour until coated. Sauté garlic, shallot, and red pepper in butter in a Dutch oven for 2 minutes. Add coated potatoes, milk, cream, salt and pepper. Stir well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer till thickened. Spoon half of potatoes into 9x13 pan, sprinkle with ½ of Gruyere cheese, repeat with remaining. Top with parmesan cheese – cover and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 35-40 minutes until tender.
