Preparation
Step 1
Add 3 dashes cucumber bitters, 1 ounce dry vermouth and 2 ounces gin to a mixing glass filled with ice and stir.
Dip a thyme sprig in absinthe, light sprig on fire and invert a coupe approximately 6 inches over flame. (You want to capture the smoke but not heat the glass.)
Strain cocktail into smoked coupe and garnish with charred thyme.
