Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey or ground pork
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 15oz can kidney beans
  • 1 15oz can fat free refried beans
  • 1 15oz can Mexican style chili beans
  • 1 16oz can whole kernel corn
  • 1 16oz can diced tomatoes (I use Rotel HOT - It's smaller, but still works)
  • 1 15oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 - 11/2 cups water (optional - I don't use, I like it thicker)
  • 1 4.5 oz can chilis diced (I use jalepinos)
  • 1 pk taco seasoning
  • 1 pk hidden valley ranch dressing (regular, not dip, not buttermilk)

Preparation

Step 1

Saute meat and onion until cooked - add everything else!! Still well until mixed, bring to a boil and then drop to a simmer for half hour.

I normally don't bring to a boil, I just cook in a dutch oven long and slow until hot and cooked (like 2-3 hours) but it doesn't matter - tastes great and the same - both ways!
