Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 1/2 teaspoons cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 3 Tablespoons cocoa
- 6 Tablespoons milk
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Cream sugar and flour together. Heat butter, shortening, cocoa, and water to boiling. Add hot mixture to dry ingredients, then add vinegar to milk, and eggs, soda and vanilla. Mix well.
Use large jelly roll pan 11x17. Bake at 350° F. for 20 minutes.
Frosting: Cream all ingredients together, spread on cake while still warm. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if desired.
