- 2 c butter Crisco or butter
- 2 c sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tsp vanilla
- 5 c flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ◾4+ cups powdered sugar
- ◾6 tablespoons whole milk
- ◾6 tablespoons honey or light corn syrup
- ◾1 teaspoon almond extract

Step 1
Cream butter and sugar just until incorporated. Scrape sides and mix a few seconds longer. Add eggs slowly and mix. Add vanilla and then dry ingredients. When dough clumps around paddle, it is ready. Don't overmix. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Refrigerate after cut into shapes. Roll between parchment paper sprinkled with sugar. 350, 8-12 minutes.
Mix icing ingredients. Separate and make some of it thicker for outline of cookies.
