Ingredients

  • 2 bags coconut
  • 2 c chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 T orange rind
  • 2 T orange juice
  • 2 boxes confectioners sugar
  • 2 cans Eagle Condensed Milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Coating
  • 1 box unsweetened chocolate pieces
  • 1 six ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 1/4 block Gulf wax (paraffin)
  • Melt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all of the above ingredients thoroughly. it will be very sticky. Place in plastic containers and put in freezer to keep mixture as cold as possible for future use.

In top of double boiler combine coating ingredients.

Form round balls and using a toothpick, stick balls into chocolate mixture until completely covered, Let drip briefly, then place balls onto a piece of waxed paper. Using twisting motion, remove toothpicks from balls. Drop small amount of chocolate onto balls to fill in toothpick holes. When dry, place candy into containers and refrigerate or freeze. They freeze very well for future use.
