Ingredients

  • 350 g white flour
  • 150 g oats
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 15 g bicarbonate of soda
  • 150 g roughly peeled chopped apple
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 450 ml cider

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, slat and soda in a bowl. Add oats and mix together, then add chopped apple.

Toast caraway seeds in dry pan, then add to flour mix.

Pour in cider and gently combine to make a loose dough. Lightly grease and flour 2 pie dishes (or other suitable tin/container).

Divide dough between the two dishes and bake at 390 degrees for 15 minutes, turning once. Reduce temperature to 350 and bake another 10 minutes.
