Overnight Baked French Toast

Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 and 1/2, or whole milk
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 T packed light brown sugar
- 1 T vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- trim crusts from 8 slices white/egg bread

Preparation
Step 1
Combine all ingredients, except bread.
One slice at a time, coat the bread in the egg mixture then fit into a pan (9x9). Create a double layer. Gently press the bread with the back of a fork to compress the slices slightly. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing on the plastic to help break soak up egg mixture. Refrigerate overnight.
Preheat over to 400. Lightly butter a baking sheet. Using a wide spatula, lift the bread slice by slice out of soaking mixture allowing extra liquid to drip off and place on baking sheet. Baked until puffed and golden (12 - 15 min) turned slices over half way through.
