- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/4 cup organic tomato sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- pinch of pepper
- 1 link precooked chicken basil sausage
- 1/2 a jarred roasted red pepper or 4 strips, chopped
- 4 oz prepared pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped scallion
- 1 teaspoon coarsely chopped fresh basil
- salt & pepper, to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
In small saucepan heat oil over medium heat, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add tomato sauce, S&P, and simmer 4-5 minutes.
Preheat gas or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Place sausage on the grill and grill until cooked through, about 2 minutes each side; slice thinly and set aside.
Spray pizza pan with nonfat cooking spray. On lightly floured surface stretch pizza dough into thin 8 inch circle and place on prepared pan. Spread sauce out, sprinkle on half the cheese. Arrange sausage and pepper pieces over cheese and top with remaining cheese.
Bake until edges are crisp and lightly browned and cheese is melted, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle with scallions & basil. Let stand 2-5 minutes before slicing & eating.
