Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve each box of Jell-O separately, using just one cup of boiling water per flavor. Once the Jell-O has dissolved in the hot water, pour each individual batch of Jell-O into individual containers. * A small glass Pyrex or Anchor container works best, as they have a lid to seal the top. Allow the Jell-O flavors to chill overnight.
Once the Jell-O is solid, cut the flavors of Jell-O into small blocks and place the individual blocks in the bottom of a 9" x 13" glass pan, making sure to mix up the colors as the blocks are placed in the pan.
In a separate bowl, dissolve the two envelopes of unflavored gelatin in two cups of hot water. Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool a bit; Stir in the sweetened condensed milk. Allow the mixture to cool to the touch. *A finger inserted into the mixture should feel slightly warm but not overly warm. Pour the cooled milk mixture over the Jell-O blocks. Cover and allow to chill overnight. Cut into squares and serve.
