Step 1

Divide oysters and add 1/2 pound of butter to each 1/2 gallon oysters. Pepper to taste and simmer oysters in liqueur, butter and pepper until they show wrinkles. At that time, add salt to taste. Heat milk in double boiler. Pour liqueur from simmered oysters into milk. To serve, I fill bowl with soup and put as many oysters as desired.
