Ingredients
- 1/2 pound 95% lean ground beef
- 1/2 pound turkey Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 (16-oz.) jar Marinara sauce
- 1 (4.5-oz.) can sliced mushrooms
- 1 (14.5-oz.) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, un-drained
- 1 (9-oz.) package refrigerated or fresh cheese tortellini
- 1 cup shredded part-skim Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded low fat Cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Crumble ground beef and Italian sausage into a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until browned; drain and transfer to a slow cooker. Add Marinara sauce, mushrooms and tomatoes; stir to combine. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours. Stir in tortellini and sprinkle Mozzarella and Cheddar cheeses over the top. Cover and cook for 15 minutes on LOW or until tortellini is tender.
SERVING SUGGESTION: A big salad and garlic toast.
VEGETARIAN: Use TVP crumbles.
KOSHER: Make sure beef is certified kosher and use your favorite soy cheese.
GLUTEN FREE: Make sure Marinara sauce and diced tomatoes are gluten free. Use gluten free tortellini.
