Ingredients
- 1 (12-oz.) can tuna, drained and flaked
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine tuna, egg, bread crumbs, green onions and garlic. Add soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, ketchup, sesame oil and pepper; blend well. Form mixture into 6 patties, approximately 1 inch thick. Lightly sprinkle each patty on all sides with cornmeal. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat; saute patties for 5 minutes per side or until golden brown.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Steamed new potatoes, green beans and baby carrots.
VEGETARIAN: Use canned white beans (drained and mashed) instead of tuna.
KOSHER: No changes necessary.
GLUTEN FREE: Make your own bread crumbs with gluten free bread. Make sure soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, ketchup and cornmeal are gluten free.
