Ingredients

  • 1 Lg box Chocolate (cook and serve) Pudding.
  • 1 Pie Crust (pre-bake and cool)
  • Optional: Lemon pie filling (can) or Instant Choc Pudding blended with 8oz Cool Whip.

Preparation

Step 1

Bake pie crust and cool.
Make choc pudding as directed and pour into crust. Prepare Meringue, put on top of choc filling and bake until golden brown at 400 degrees.

Meringue:
* Boil until clear and thick:
* 1 T. Corn Starch
* 6 T. Sugar
* 1/2 Cups Water

* 3 Egg Whites (Beat whites to foam)
* Then pour hot mixture into egg whites and beat for 4 mins.
*Bake at 400 degrees until brown

Note:
Use prebaked (and cooled if needed) pie crust.
Add filling of choice. Choc Pudding or Lemon Pie Filling (can).
Top with Meringue and bake at 400 degrees until meringue is golden brown.

You can use cooked choc pudding & meringue or instant choc pudding and put cool whip on top.
You can also use graham cracker crust or even the Oreo ready made crust with these pies.
