Sweet Lettuces with Walnuts

Ingredients
- 3 slices bread (preferably whole grain)
- 2 cloves garlic, cut in half lengthwise
- 1/4 cup walnuts
- 3 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. walnut oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups Boston lettuce, washed and torn
- 3 cups Bibb lettuce, washed and torn

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Rub the garlic on both sides of the bread. Cut each slice into cubes, and place in one layer on a baking pan. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.
Heat the walnuts in a skillet over medium heat and shake well until lightly toasted, about 2 to 3 minutes; set aside.
Mix the vinegar, mustard, oil, salt, and pepper together. Toss the salad greens with the dressing. Top the salad with croutons and nuts.
