Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) can organic chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
- 1 small jalapeño pepper, with or without seeds
- 1 large garlic clove
- 1 Tbsp natural creamy peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 tsp sea salt, or to taste
- 3 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro or flat-leaf parsley

Preparation
Step 1
Puree all ingredients except the cilantro in a blender until smooth, adding more water by tablespoonfuls only if necessary.
Top with or stir in cilantro and serve with raw vegetables or fresh whole wheat pita wedges.
