Ingredients

  • Brownie Batter:
  • 10 T butter - softened
  • 2/3 Cup lightly packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Large egg yolk
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 1/4 Cup PLUS 3 T flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • Chocolate Chip cookie dough
  • 10 T softened butter
  • 2/3 Cup light brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 large egg YOLK
  • 2 cups plus 2 T all purpose flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1 1/4 mini chips

Preparation

Step 1

1. preheat 350. Line baking sheets with parchment paper
2. BROWNIE - beat butter, sugars together until smooth and creamy. Wait 2 minutes add egg, egg yolk and vanilla. beat 2-3 more minutes until light in color.
3. Seperate bowl. Wisk flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to batter. Mix until combined. Refrigerate while mixing cookie dough.

4. Cream butter and sugars until smooth. 1-2 minutes
5. Blend in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Mix 2-3 minutes until batter is light in color. Wisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in sep bowl. Add dry ingredients to batter. Add chocolate chips.
6. Portion each set of dough into equal amounts of dough balls.
7. Grab one ball of each dough and press them together and use your hands to form a cookie shape. Flatten them out a little bit. They will flatten more while cooking.
8. Bake 8-10 minutes. Do not over bake. The brownie batter will dry on edges. Cool on rack 1-2 minutes
