Ingredients

  • 1 lbs ground beef (extra lean ground turkey if counting points)
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (16 ounce) can red kidney beans, drained
  • 15 oz beef stock
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoons pepper
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • 10 ounce spaghetti sauce
  • 4 ounces pasta (excl pasta when counting points)

Preparation

Step 1

Directions

Brown beef or turkey in a skillet.

Drain fat from beef and add to crock pot with everything except pasta.

Cook on low 7-8 hours or high 4-5 hours.

Precook pasta al dente and last 30 min on high or 1 hour on low, add to soup

For counting points, soup is so flavorful you don't miss the pasta
