Maple and Soy-Glazed Flank Steak

Ingredients
- 1 (1LB) flank steak, trimmed
- 1/4 C soy sauce
- 3 TBL maple syrup
- 2 TBL sake or dry sherry
- 2 tsp dark sesame oil
- 1 tsp Sriracha (Asian hot chile sauce)
- 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
- cooking spray

Preparation
Step 1
preheat broiler
pierce steak gently on both sides
combine steak & next 6 ingredients (through pepper) in shallow dish
turn to coat
marinate at room temp 20 min, turning occasionally
remove steak from marinade, reserving marinade
place steak on broiler pan coated w/ cooking spray
pour marinade into sm. skillet
bring to boil, stirring well
cook over med-high heat 3 min or until thick & syrupy
brush steak w/ half of glaze
broil 5 min
turn steak over & brush w/ remaining glaze
broil 5 min or until desired degree of doneness
place steak on cutting board
let stand 5 min
cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices
