- 5 1/2-6 1/2 cup flour
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 Tbsp. softened margarine
- 2 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- salad oil
- cold water

Step 1
Combine 2 cups flour, undissolved yeast, sugar, salt in large bowl. Stir well to blend. Add softened margarine. Add hot water to ingrediants.
Beat with mixer at medium speed 2 minutes. Scrape bowl occasionally. Add 1 cup flour. Beat 1 minute. Stir in just enough flour until dough leaves the side of the bowl. Make a ball.
Cover with plastic wrap and then towel. Let rest 20 minutes. Punch down. divide int 2 balls. Roll each into 8x15 rectangle on greased board. Roll jellyroll beginning on long end. Seal. Tuck ends. Taper ends by rolling gently with hand. Place seam side down on greased board.
Brush lightly with oil. Cover loosely with plastic wrap. Refrigerate 2-24 hours. When ready to bake, remove from refrigerator. Uncover. Let stand 10 minutes while preheating oven.
Brush gently with cold water. Slash tops of loaves diagonally at 2" intervals with sharp kinife just before baking.
Bake 40* for 30-40 minutes.
