Ingredients

  • Pizza:
  • Refrigerated Pillsbury Pizza Dough (Thin) - in tube
  • 4 oz. Italian Shredded Cheese (Mozz./Provolone/Parmesan/Romano blend)
  • Store Bought or Homemade Pesto (see below)
  • Fresh Mozzarella Cheese - Sliced
  • 4-5 Roma Tomatoes - Sliced
  • Fresh Basil Leaves
  • Pesto:
  • Olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • couple basil leaves-torn)
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • salt & pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. Roll out dough onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 5 minutes or until lightly browned at 400 degrees. Remove from oven

2. Slice tomatoes into ¼ inch slices. Place onto paper towel-lined cutting board. Sprinkle both sides evenly with salt; let stand 15 minutes

3. Spread a thin layer of pesto over browned pizza dough and crust.

3. Sprinkle Italian cheese, then top with tomatoes and fresh mozzarella slices.

4. Bake for anouther 6-8 minutes or until cheese is melted. Top wih basil leaves for last minute of baking.
