  • 1 ripe avocado, coarsly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno chile pepper (wear plastic gloves when handling) add to shopping list
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon seeded and chopped ripe tomato
  • salt
  • ground black pepper

Step 1

In a large bowl, add the avocado, onion, jalapeno pepper, lime juice, cilantro, and tomato. Stir carefully, trying not to break up the avocado. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
