This is a nice bread that can stand up to being used for paninis or grilled cheese sandwiches.

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • The flours that I used for this recipe are Gold Medal. All ingredients should be room temperature. with the exception of the liquids which should be 80 degs F.
  • 1 Egg and enough water to equal one cup
  • 2 Tbs Oil (I use Canola)
  • 1 1/2 tsps salt
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar (You can use white or brown)
  • 1 Tbs Dry Milk (I used SACO Dry Buttermilk)
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Bread Flour
  • 1 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Wheat Bran
  • 2 Tbsp Vital Wheat Gluten
  • 2 tsps Active Dry Yeast

Preparation

Step 1

Place ingredients in your bread machine in the order listed.

I mix the flours, wheat gluten and bran together in a separate bowl and place them in the bread pan.

Yeast is always added last

This is a nice bread that can stand up to being used for paninis or grilled cheese sandwiches.
