Ingredients
- 1 loaf thawed bread
- 1 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. grated lemon rind
- 1 egg beaten with 1 tsp, water

Preparation
Step 1
Allow dough to stand on lightly floured surface 1 hour.
Roll to 16x8. Beat cheese, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla with mixer.
Stir in lemon rind. Place on greased cookie sheet.
Spread cheese down the center.
Cut dough from outside to filling, spacing cuts 1" apart.
Overlap dough alternately from left and right to cover cheese.
Combine egg and water, brush over braid.
Let stand in warm place for 30 minutes.
Bake350* for 30 minutes.
