  • Deep dish pie shell
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 3 T flour
  • 1 t cinnamon
  • 1/8 t salt
  • 6 c thinly sliced peeled apples (golden delicious and fugi)
  • Crumb Topping
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 c quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 c butter


Servings 8
Preparation time 20mins
Cooking time 70mins


Step 1

Stir together dry ingredients. Add apples and toss until coated. Transfer to pie shell. Sprinkle crumb topping over apples. Put foil around edges of pie shell. Bake at 375 for 25 mins. Remove foil from edges and bake for another 25-30 mins. Drizzle with caramel.

Crumb Topping

Stir together sugar, flour and oats. Cut in butter until topping is coarse and crumbly.
