Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries
  • sugar
  • whipped cream for serving

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

In a bowl, mix the first four ingredients until a soft dough forms.

Drop the dough by 6-8 spoonfuls onto an UNGREASED cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

Reserve some really pretty strawberries as garnishes.

In another bowl, mash the rest of the strawberries into a pulp. Add some sugar to the pulp to sweeten it up a bit.

When the dough balls are finished cooking, slice each ball completely in half, horizontally. Put some pulp and whipped cream in the middle, then replace the top and put some more pulp and whipped cream on top. Add the whole strawberries as a garnish, and serve.
