Oreo Balls 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of oreos
  • 1 block of cream cheese
  • White Chocolate Bark
  • * you can use Chocolate Bark too – but I personally think it’s way too rich and doesn’t taste as much like an oreo.

Preparation

Step 1

• Grind the oreos in a mixer/food processor to the point where they are very fine (no chunks of cookie)
• Mix the cream cheese in with the ground oreos until the white of the cream cheese is no longer visible
• Roll the mixture into balls. Try to make the balls somewhat compact so they are easier to dip later on.
• Refrigerate the rolled balls for at least 30-45 minutes. The longer you wait the more firm they will be and easier to dip into the bark.
• Use a toothpick to pick up the ball and dip it into the melted bark. The easiest way I've found is to melt the bark in a pan on the oven, then keep it warm by putting the pan into a larger pan full of hot water. The pan full of hot water keeps the chocolate melted but doesn't let it get too hot where it starts to get to thick to dip the oreo balls into.
• Refrigerate the dipped oreo balls. I normally do it overnight, but it really doesn't take that long for the chocolate to set up.

One bag of oreos and one block of cream cheese will normally make 30-40 oreo balls-or you could take Janet's advice and make them smaller so you can eat more of them.
