  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 pkg. yeast

Step 1

Sift the 2 flours and set aside. Heat butter and milk to 120 -130 degrees, stirring. Combine granulated sugar, pumpkin and salt. Add milk mixture, beat until well mixed. Beat in egg and yeast. stir in half of the combined flours and beat 5 minutes, add remaining flour and mix thoroughly.

Turn into lightly greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double. Punch down, adding more flour to make dough easy to handle.

Roll into 12 x 10 inch rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll up along the longest side. Seal seam and cut into 12 pieces. Place into greased pan and let rise until double. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until browned. Drizzle with frosting.

Frosting: Melt 1/2 cup butter, stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 2 Tbsp. milk. Cook for 1 minute over med-low heat. Remove from heat and add 1/2 tsp. vanilla, dash of salt and powdered sugar to desired consistency.
