Ingredients
- Other flour combinations:
- 1/2 cup whole bran
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 3 to 4 tablespoons cocoa (optional)
- 4 to 6 teaspoons yeast
- 10 to 12 cups whole wheat flour
- 3 cups whole wheat and 9 1/2 cups white (or) 2 cups whole wheat flour, 1 cup rye and 9 1/2 cups white

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 365 degrees.
Grease pans being used, bread loaves or rolls.
Mix together ingredients EXCEPT yeast.
Pour onto mixture 2 cups boiling water.
Mix together.
Add 2 cups cold water.
Add 1 cup of warm water as yeast is added.
Cover and let rest for 12 to 15 minutes.
Mix and knead to a firm consistency.
Let rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Break into 4 to 5 medium loaves or 4 to 5 dozen rolls.
Cover and let rise for about 1 hour.
Bake for 35 minutes.
Turn out of pans and let cool.
