Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) box bow tie pasta
  • 8 Tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic (finely minced or pressed through a garlic press)
  • 1 Tablespoon dried basil
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese (softened and cut into small cubes)
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar sun-dried tomatoes (rinsed, drained and chopped)
  • 3 cups milk
  • 16 ounces Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt (more to taste if needed)
  • 2 cup chicken (cooked and cubed)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook pasta according to package directions. While it's cooking, prepare the sauce.
2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
3. Add the garlic and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring the whole time.
4. Stir in the dried basil.
5. Add the cream cheese, stirring with a whisk until the mixture is smooth. It will look curdled at first, but with constant whisking for 2-3 minutes, it will become a smooth creamy paste.
6. Stir in the sun-dried tomatoes.
7. Add the milk and whisk quickly and constantly until it is blended into the sauce.
8. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, pepper and salt.
9. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is the desired consistency, 5-10 minutes.
10. Add Chicken & Noodles & place in greased 9x13 pans
11. Bake 350 for 30 min.
