Preparation
Step 1
Rinse pork and pat dry. Trim any large pieces of fat. Place in large crockpot.
Place onion quarters, chili powder, brown sugar, garlic, oregano, cumin, salt, pepper, olive oil, and vinegar in blender. Blend until combined.
Pour mixture over pork and rub into every fold and ever nook. Add two cups of water to the crockpot and cover with lid.
When it is done turn pork over in juice and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Place pork on a platter and shred with two forks. Pour some juice over the top and serve.
I made this last night and you were right..there is nothing like have dinner done by the time you get home:) I served it on bulkie rolls with a salad and we loved it! My son who works at the Texas Road House considers himself a beef/pork Connoisseur recommended we add bbq sauce & that tasted really good too:) This even got the seal of approval from the pickest member of the family!
Lisa–I am so glad your family liked it! I like your son’s idea of adding BBQ sauce. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no such thing as too much BBQ sauce! Thanks for letting me know!
