Ingredients

  • 3 C. water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 (.7oz) package dry Italian dressing mix
  • 5lb rump roast

Preparation

Step 1

Combine water with all seasonings including dressing mix in a large saucepan, stir well and bring to a boil.
Place roast in slow cooker and pour salad dressing mixture over the meat.
Cover and cook on Low for 10-12 hours. When done, remove bay leat and shred meat with a fork.
If desired mix in 1 jar giardiniera
