Ingredients

  • 3 lrg Leeks
  • 1 sm Onion, diced
  • 2-3 Tbsp Oil
  • 4 Tbsp Flour
  • 3 cups Pareve Chicken Broth
  • 1/2 cup White Wine
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 3/4 cup Milk

Preparation

Step 1

Cut off the dark green parts of the leek and discard.
Slice the white and light green parts of the lek in half.
Wash well and cut into thin slices.
Saute the leek and onion in oil for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
Add the flour, stirring constantly for 1-2 minutes.
Add the broth and bring to a boil.
Lower the flame and add the wine, salt and pepper and allow to cook 10-15 minutes.
Add the milk and heat through (don't return to a boil).
