Ingredients
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. pecan halves
- 1 1/2 c. cut watermelon pickles, drained
- 1 c. halved maraschino cherries, drained
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Step 1
1. Grease bottoms and sides of two pans (8 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 2 1/2").
2. Mix and sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; add nuts, pickles and cherries and mix.
3. Beat eggs slightly; add vanilla.
4. Add flour mixture and mix until ingredients are well combined.
5. Spoon batter into pans and bake in a preheated 300 degree oven for about 1 hour.
