Grannie Egilson’s peanut butter cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1 1/4 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 Cream together shortening and peanut butter Gradually beat in both sugars. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Blend flour, baking soda and salt Add to creamed mixture and mix. Form 1" balls and put on greased cookie sheet. Press with fork. Bake 10-12 minutes
