Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c instant potato flakes
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c oil
  • 1/2 water
  • 2 packages yeast
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c milk
  • 3 1/4 - 4 c flour

Preparation

Step 1

Put potatoes, salt, yeast, eggs in food processor and blend for 15 seconds. Add one cup flour and mix.

heat oil, water and milk to 110-115 degrees and add to processor slowly. (Karen uses a blender, can I use my kitchen aid?)

Turn out on board or bowl to finish blending. Add flour to make soft dough. After well blended, turn out of floured surface and knead (**how much**)

let rise until double.

Divide dough and roll to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Cut using a donut cutter - or into rectangles and figure grandmas flippy trick. Let rise.

Deep fat fry - will rise when they hit the hot grease.
