Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flower
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 3 eggs (white and yolks separated)
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 baked pastry shell
  • Meringue

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Mix flower, sugar and salt together.
Stir in Sour cream and cook in a double broiler until thickened.
Stir constantly.
Pour hot mixture slowly over egg yolks, stirring constantly.
Return to heat and cook 3 more minutes.
Add flavoring and cool.
Pour into pastry shell and add meringue.

Meringue:

Beat 3 egg whites until frothy.
Add 6 tablespoons sugar slowly.
Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
Pile Meringue on Pie.
Bake 15 minutes at 325 degrees
