Ingredients
- 2 lbs steak, cut in strips
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup red wine
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 tsp crushed thyme
- Salt and pepper
- Parsley for garnish

Preparation
Step 1
Saute the strips of steak in foaming butter over high heat. Add chopped onion and cook together until onion is soft. Stir constantly to prevent burning. Lower heat, add tomato paste and flour. Cook for 1 minute. Add beef stock and wine, stirring to make a smooth paste. Add lemon juice, thyme, salt and pepper. Continue to cook 5 minutes, or until beef is tender. Serve on rice.
