Ingredients
- DIP
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. Heinz 57
- 1 Tbsp. hor4seradish
- 1 tea. Worcestershire sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- ONION
- 1 large sweet onion, about 1#
- 2 Tbsp. butter, cut into 1/2" cubes
- Favor BBQ rub (I used Steak seasoning and Longhorn's Prairie Dust)

Step 1
Mix all ingredients for dip and refrigerate.
Prepare the onion: Trim about 3/4" from thew top. Using a sharp knife, cut the onion into 12-16 wedges (don't go all the way through). Separate the petals. Place on a doubled piece of tin foil and bring the sides up around the onion, leaving the foil open at the top. Dot the onion with the butter cubes, tucking them into the petals. Season well with the rub.
Place foiled onion directly on the grill grate and roast until tender. Cook at 300 degrees for at least an hour. 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours would probably be preferable.
