Chocolate fudge cookie bites

Ingredients

• 3/4 c sugar
• 1/3 c unsweetened cocoa powder
• 4 t butter softened
• 4 oz applesauce
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 3/4 c flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 2 t powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1) preheat 375. coat 2 cookie sheets with nonstick spray or cover with parchment paper

2) in md bowl, beat with electric mixer, sugar, cocoa and butter. add applesauce and vanilla, blend

3) in small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. stir dry into wet with a wooden spoon.

4) shape batter into 40 marble sized balls. place 1" apart on cookie sheets. bake until set, about 8 minutes. remove from oven and let stand for 1 minute. transfer to wire rack to cool completely.; sprinkle with powdered sugar.
