Sausage Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients
- 1/2 pound sage pork sausage
- 2 sticks softened butter
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 5 ounces shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, breaking up into small pieces. Completely cool on counter or in freezer.
Add to a stand mixer the butter and sour cream. Add the flour, 1 cup at a time and mix until fully combined. Add the sausage and cheese and combine. Drop heaping spoonfuls of the dough onto parchment lined sheet pans. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned.
Substitute for quick rising flour: 2 cups all purpose flour, 3 teaspoons baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
