Brussels and Bacon
Brussels sprouts are the type of food that strikes horror in the hearts of picky eaters. We pomise, the smoke of the bacon, the heat of the red pepper flakes, and the crunch of the almond will win over even the most stubborn veggie-phobe.

Preparation
Step 1
Heat a large skillet or saute pan over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove to a plate line with paper towels. Discard all but 1 tablespoon of the rendered bacon fat.
Add the garlic, pepper flakes Brussels sprouts and a pinch of salt to the skillet. Saute until the sprouts are lightly browned on the outside and tender-but still firm-throughout, 10 to 12 minutes. Add the almonds and saute for another minute or two. Season with salt and pepper.
