Brown Sugar Fudge Cookies from Mish Mag (stella Dora like)

Ingredients

• 3 sticks marg
• 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
• 1 Tbs vanilla ext
• 4 1/2 cups flour
• 2 TBs +2 tsp water
• 1/2 tsp salt
• CHOCOLATE FILLING
• 1 3/4 cup chocolate chips
• 2 Tbs margarine
• 1/4 cup corn syrup
• 2 Tbs water
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• confectioner's sugar,optional

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Cream marg and sugar together,then add the remaining ingred,Mix until you have an even dough.
Form dough into balls and place on a lined baking sheet. Make a thumbprint in the center of each ball. Bake for 10 min and quickly re-indent the thumbprint.Allow the cookies to cool.
meanwhile,melt the chocolate chips in a microwave and combine with remaining filling ingred until smooth.
When cookies are cool,fill thumbprint with chocolate. For easier filling,add some confectioners's sugar to the chocolate mixture and pour into a pastry bag. Use a star tip and fill the cookeies.Freeze cookies well in a single layer before stacking
