Perfect Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 c. butter-flavored shortening stick
• 1 Tb. water
• 1/2 c. peanut butter
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 3/4 tsp. vanilla
• 1 1/4 c. flour
• 3/4 tsp. baking soda
• 1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Beat shortening, sugar, peanut butter and 1/4 c. brown sugar until fluffy. Beat egg and vanilla; add dry ingredients slowly, beating until well blended. Sprinkle remaining brown sugar on top of dough and fold in with a rubber spatula. Roll into balls and place on ungreased baking sheet. Press balls with a fork dipped in sugar.
