Pumpkin Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 can (29 ounces) pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp allspice

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan over medium/high heat and bring to a boil. Once it reaches a boil, lower the heat to low/medium and simmer for about 45 minutes stirring frequently.

Remove from heat and enjoy some immediately (because you won’t be able to wait for it to cool) and save the rest in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
