Ingredients
- 4 c. fresh cranberries, picked over, washed
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 3 c. sugar (I reduce by half)
- 1 c. crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1/2 c. golden raisins (I omit)
- 1 seedless orange, chopped (I omit rind)
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a lg. saucepan, combine berries and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer 5 to 8 minutes, or until berries pop and are tender.
2. Stir in sugar, crushed pineapple with juice, and chopped orange.
3. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in nuts.
4. Store in refrigerator. Makes 5 cups.
